Legislation No. 103 of 1976 regarding updating some provisions of legislation No. 68 of 1947 dedicated to documentation specifies a number of determinants, rules and papers required of those wishing to marry Egyptians with foreigners, which may only be approved by fulfillment.
The legislation stated that it is not permissible to report the marriage of the sons of Egypt to foreigners if it becomes evident to the documenter the lack of eligibility, consent, attributes or powers of the contractors or the absence of determinants and rules, or if the document that was edited required to be approved is void, as the legislation requires the notary to refute the documentation and notify People with an order of rejection with a recommended letter showing the factors of rejection.
The legislation stipulated that, before the practices of a report that was concluded on the marriage of foreigners, the notary must ensure that the required determinants, rules and papers are available, namely:
1- The arrival of the foreigner in person upon the report of the written agreement, “Consort and wife together”.
2- The character of a family.
3- 5 personal photos of the wife and wife, and medical certificates from a government health center.
4 – That the age difference between the spouses is appropriate and should not exceed 25 years.
5- The foreign marriage applicant from the Egyptian marriage student is required to issue investment certificates with a periodic return granted to Group B in the National Bank of Egypt in the amount of 50 1000 pounds in the name of the Egyptian marriage student, and that if the age difference between them exceeds 25 years.
6- It is necessary for the foreigner to live in the Arab Republic of Egypt for a purpose other than tourism.
7- The age of the spouse and the wife must not be less than 1 year.
8- The foreigner submits two certificates issued by the specialized authority in the republic that holds his nationality or from its consulate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, one of which states that she does not object to marriage and the other contains information about the date of birth, his religion, his profession, the country residing in him and his marital status, in terms of preceded marriage and number Wives and children, his financial condition and the sources of his income, provided that all of the two certificates are signed by the specialized Egyptian authorities.
9- Providing all of the spouses with his birth certificate. If this is not possible, the foreigner must submit any government document based on it, and the Egyptian woman must provide a government copy of the birth registration.
Ten- Completion of documentation practices at the Real Estate Registration Office at the Ministry of Equity in Lazoghly Square.
11- Signing the marriage voucher from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ratifications office.
